Every article and program is written for melanin-rich skin and checked by licensed physicians. Each page shows whether its review is complete.
Sources behind every claim
We draw on public guidance from bodies such as the NHS, NICE, the American Academy of Dermatology, DermNet and the WHO, and list the sources on every page.
Honest about evidence
Programs carry an evidence grade, from strong (guidelines and reviews of trials) to expert consensus, so you know how sure the science is.
Nobody pays to be listed
No paid placements, no sponsored verdicts and no commission links. Where we name shops, it is to help you avoid fakes.
Your country, your rules
Ingredient checks compare Nigeria, Ghana, the UK, the EU, the US and Canada, and emergency numbers follow your country.
Private by design
No accounts, no cookies and no trackers on this website. Your progress and photos stay on your own phone.
How we judge a product
- We read the full ingredient list, not the front of the pack.
- Each ingredient is matched against our rules, which flag what to avoid, use with care, or know about, with the reason and the source.
- We show how each flagged ingredient is regulated in Nigeria, Ghana and other countries.
- Your answers (child or adult, allergies, pregnancy in the app) shape the result.
- A flag is not a danger at normal use. A score is guidance, not a verdict on a brand.
Education, not diagnosis
We cannot examine you, and we are not an emergency service. When something needs a doctor, every page says so plainly, with the emergency number for your country.
